The New York State Senate has flipped Republican after two Democrats changed party allegiance in a day full of bad news for Democrats. Good it be? The Messiah is starting to become human?
What better way to complete a day in which Barack Obama’s economic policies lose the majority in a Gallup poll, Dems lose the edge on the GOP in a Rasmussen poll on economics, and the Supreme Court apparently blocks Obama’s dictatorial dissolution of an American carmaker than to highlight a “parliamentary coup” in Albany, NY? Manic Monday turned literal in the New York state Senate, where Democrats Pedro Espada and Hiram Monserrate switched sides and gave control of the chamber to the Republicans, only five months after losing control of it.
On top of the news that Rasmussen reports the GOP winning the economy issue by six points. This after Rasmussen showed Obama’s approval rating diving to the low 50s last week, a rating that is still a shadow since blacks are giving Obama approval ratings of 96-percent when asked. Take them out, he’s in the 40s among everyone else.
Sure, it’s polls, sure it’s a State Senate, but the GOP is running strong in Virginia and other blueish-red places. Add to that, the popular John Kasich announced his run for Governor of Ohio. Some would have you believe otherwise, but you are allowed to be optimistic from time to time.

I really hear concern in President Obama’s voice lately. The guy sounds disappointed. I know, he’s probably a great actor; most politicians are, but I really think the guy is reaching some understanding that his ideas and policies are not working. I am not naive; I don’t anticipate a huge sea-change in his thinking, but if I am right he may at least be less aggressive as he starts to doubt his own tactics.
How is he supposed to accomplish anything when we the people will not bask in his — His — awesomeness?!? Barak H. Obama!
Another bit of news. The Supreme Court rejected hearing a case which would have toppled the “Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell” policy in the US Military.
If only the current court had the benefit of the superior wisdowm of a Latina woman…

Glad to hear though I still firmly believe polls are as useless as that other guy from Wham.. The only people I know who approve of Obama know nothing about his policies and say odd things like “he seems like a nice guy”.
“Yeah, sorry about the bankrupting the country thing and turning us into the webbed fingered inbred cousin of communism but did you know I play basketball and have big ears?!”

Did you also hear that Supreme Court Justice Ginsberg (you could have knocked me over with a feather) placed the Chrysler sale to Fiat on hold until the rest of the Justices can look at the Constitutionality of the whole mess?
