I just saw this commercial on FOXNews channel — it’s a PSA about child abuse prevention. Save for my relief that “the angry Dad” stereotype was nowhere to be seen I found it bothersome…. Can you see why or am I being overly-sensitive about the evidentiary threshold?
Yes, I see a problem. Can you imagine a PSA from Homeland Security, telling us to “trust our instincts” about whether our neighbors were terrorists? What they mean is, “Trust your instincts, unless you’re a racist, a sexist, a bigot or a homophobe. When it comes to parents in traditional families, we’ll give you a pass.”
Let the labelling begin. Let’s see-white male=wife beater, gun owner/veteran=terrorist, Christian=homo hater/uneducated & totally ignorant, Republican=insensitive/non-progressive. And the list goes on. Let’s see…. The left always accuses conservatives of being narrow minded and intolerant when in reality it’s the other way around.
