The SEC does love its football the right way -- passionately -- no doubt. The ex-wife went to 'Bama, though, so you do the math.

"National Pastime",Eric?...he,he...when were you born, about 1912?That cliche is as old as a Bob Costas hair piece.I am a Nittany Lion fan as well, but there is nothing in the world like a Saturday night at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge(especially when the Bengals are beating the sh*t out of Ole Miss or Auburn!)

Eric,I am flattered beyond belief, although I don't exactly get your point:baseball is better than golf because of a guy in a chicken suit.On that basis I would argue that college football is superior to anything:90,000 morons in Tuscaloosa cheer for a guy in an elephant outfit! That was for Kit...

Eh, not nearly as impressive as nearly 111,000 being led to cheers of "We want the Lion! We want the Lion!" in good ol' Beaver Stadium, but I'm biased like that. Will agree college football is superior to anything, though. Just because.

Also, never said baseball was necessarily a "better" sport. With the exception of a hopped-up Bethpage Black or Happy Gilmore-esque crowd, the National Pastime just has an atmosphere that lends itself to being more entertaining. Damn it's as easy pushing your golf buttons as it is my baseball ones. ;-)

Scott M., this is why baseball will always be infinitely more entertaining than golf. Not necessarily a better sport or game (though I think it is), just far more entertaining.
