Iranian protest
Today is a good day to remember the democracy movements throughout the world. People everywhere are taking the example of our founding fathers to heart and bravely confronting dictatorships.
Cedar Revolution in Lebanon
Some of these nascent democracies have been stillborn, others have yet to prove themselves strong enough to survive. But America should support these movements wherever they arise, at the very least with words of encouragement.

Ukraine's Orange Revolution
For some reason known only to them, liberals oppose any kind of support for these people. What happened to the hippies? Don’t they remember the immortal words of the Rascals?
There’ll be shoutin´ from the mountains on out to sea
No two ways about it, people have to be free
Ask me my opinion, my opinion will be
It’s a natural situation for a man to be free
Anti-Chavez protest in Venezuela
That song is the Bush doctrine in a nutshell. Or one of the Bush doctrines. (I’m talking to you, Charlie Gibson.)
Beautiful.
May God bless the true patriots everywhere, and may God bless the United States of America.
Don’t forget Honduras,Mike…the little Hugo Chavez wannabe President tried to rip up the Constitution this week, and the Army sent him packing.Contrary to what our Dear Leader says, this was NOT a coup. The army was enforcing the will of the vast majority of Hondurans against a would be tyrant.
Praying for the day our military does that to Dear Leader O.
God Bless America! Happy Birthday!
A little bit of John to Abigail for Independence Day.
Philadelphia July 3d. 1776
…But the Day is past. The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. —
I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.
You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. — I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. — Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not.
Right now, I think that “dear leader” is more interested in May 1st than the 4th of July!
What happens May 1st?
That’s when the commies always celebrated by showing off all their military might in Red Square. In the USSR it was “The Celebration of Spring and Labor.”
“We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it’s fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom… Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution… but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: “We will not go quietly into the night!” We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

“Independence Day” (1996)
Independence Day HORK!
Hork?
Barf,Kit
That movie was a piece of sh*t.
IT IS COOL!
Well of COURSE it’s a terrible movie, but that line seemed to copy the sentiment Mike was going for. BTW, “Hork” means “To steal” in Canada. (“He horked my back bacon!”) Not that I’m Canadian or anything, but I’ve generally heard it used only in that context.
“He horked my back bacon,eh?” I miss Bob and Doug MacKenzie…
