This month I’ll point out some highlights or weird things I glean from Netflix Streaming. I’ll start this off with “Terriers” — a one season private detective/crime series with Donal Logue and Michael Raymond James as the detectives. Current fears of concussions notwithstanding… who doesn’t love a good hit? Noone delivered a hit on defense like the Oakland Raiders’ Jack Tatum or on offense like the Houston Oilers’ Earl Campbell. Couldn’t find a small clip… the hit is at 2:20 in the YouTube clip. 4th and Goal [...] Another 1996 Atlanta Olympic moment… Most people whine having to get up to go to the bathroom with a sprained ankle. I couldn’t do a vault to save my life. Doing a vault on a sprained ankle to clinch the Gold medal? Kerri Strug is one tough woman. Back breaker — Redskins back breaker. Share on Facebook Tennis used to be a great sport to watch on TV before it became a series of 140 mph blasts with 3 shot rallies. No one did it better than NBC sports with Dick Enberg and Bud Collins calling Wimbledon and it rarely got better than the 1980 Wimbledon Mens Finals between Bjorn Borg [...] May 6, 1998… Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood (above middle) struck out 20 Houston Astros. I was rooting for the Astros that day, but Wood’s performance was amazing — even if his career ummm… “leveled off” after that — great performance. The Royals were down 3 games to 1 and eventually [...] Oh yeah… swim season practice is starting.
