President Barack Obama has ended the successful DC school voucher program. Here’s a good commentary by CNN’s Roland Martin on the issue, http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/03/11/martin.vouchers/
Juan Williams has a very good and very emotional piece on the subject here, http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/2009/04/20/williams_obama_dc/
1,700 kids who were achieving in good, DC schools will now return to the poor performing [...]

Not to make light of any family’s loss of a child, but if only this kid’s parents entered the border in the Golden State. we luh-uh-uh-ove to overcrowd our emergency rooms and give illegals whatever health care they desire.

Alright, for today’s installment you again have use of the patented, Threedonia.com time machine. If you could have been along on any expedition which would you choose, and why?

This woman was arrested for breastfeeding while intoxicated.
From the report:
Grand Forks Police Department officers watched as an “extremely intoxicated” Anvarinia “began breast feeding her infant in front of us,” according to an incident report. Since alcohol can pass from mother to child via breast milk, Anvarinia was arrested for neglecting her six-week-old [...]

Floyd | Tuesday, 28th of April 2009 at 03:57:33 PM I don’t see any special undergarments around here. From the L.A. Times story:
Hardy, 32, is the creator of “Men on a Mission,” a calendar series that sends up the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with photographs of hunky former missionaries in poses, characters and settings familiar to the faithful.
Like adults of [...]

Floyd | Tuesday, 28th of April 2009 at 03:42:29 PM Oliver Stone and Michael Douglas are in for a sequel to Wall Street. As long as the cell phones are small and Darryl Hannah is not in it — nah… who am I kidding? This thing will blow chunks. Don’t do it Oliver! A prequel to U-Turn is more well-advised than revisiting one of the [...]

JohnFN | Tuesday, 28th of April 2009 at 12:54:38 PM Christopher Hitchens falls predictably on the side of the supposed saints when it comes to the torture debate, but his latest Slate article makes a point you won’t hear from MSNBC, the New York Times, CNN or the usual who were chattering in fear days after Sept. 11. Democrats can easily distance themselves from waterboarding, [...]

Floyd | Tuesday, 28th of April 2009 at 09:43:49 AM Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter switches to the Democrats. At least now it’s official and Pat Toomey can actually stand before the entire Pennsylvania electorate. This might actually be a good thing in the long run, though it hurts for the next 2 years. The tide is rising I think — and it’s color is red [...]

True, I have yet seen any of these, but the question remains – why would I?
Here we have, my bottom five predictions for the summer. Some I may give in and see, some I may not. Writing this list, these five movies have much in common – formulaic, too politically correct, chronological confusion, [...]

Eric | Monday, 27th of April 2009 at 03:08:14 PM No, it’s not Randy Quaid and company’s ode to Chief Wahoo. It’d be the other one you’d expect from me, despite its Victimology 101 history lessons straight out of the dreadful Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.

JohnFN | Monday, 27th of April 2009 at 01:43:55 PM Barack Obama was busy dueling with his teleprompter today when one of his Presidential jets sent downtown New York into a panic. Why? Some type of mechanical malfunction? Possibly a terror aversion excercise? No, a photo op.
Mayor Bloomberg went ballistic Monday after the U.S. military – without any warning to the public [...]

I cannot believe my blog-mate Floyd did a post on Earth Day that featured a Norse band performing in a natural, wooded setting without giving credit to the genius of Seebach. You, Floyd, are worse than Hitler.

I think I’ll not complain about anything again. The Today Show did an interview that is making the rounds, but I refuse to give Ann Curry, Matt Lauer and crew any link-love. This is a video we showed at my church a couple of years ago. You get the point.

One of the ideas that was to enthrall conservatives about Barack Obama was the maturity, statesmenship and bearing he was supposedly bringing back to the White House. No more gaffes, no more faux pas, but a more intellectual approach to the Presidency following “cowboy diplomacy,” choking on pretzels and the foibles of our previous [...]
