Floyd | Monday, 31st of January 2011 at 08:47:04 AM Legendary film composer John Barry has died at age 77. There are really too many movie scores to choose from… the James Bonds, Dances With Wolves, Out of Africa, etc., etc. so I chose my favorite Bond theme. From the London Telegraph:

Floyd | Sunday, 30th of January 2011 at 02:15:30 PM Zack Snyder has cast Henry Cavill, a Brit, as Superman for the 12/2012 scheduled Superman film.
He’s not exactly a metro… and I’m counting on Snyder to know exactly how to use him to erase any memory of anything between Superman 2 and this reboot.

Floyd | Sunday, 30th of January 2011 at 08:25:12 AM Here’s the Washington Post’s liveblog of the Egyptian uprising….
Al-Jazeera has been shut down and the Muslim Brotherhood have backed El Baradei to take over. Still too early to tell since I don’t believe the only choices are U.S. friendly dictatorship or Islamist dictatorship — especially since Mubarak used that line for 30 years [...]
