From the Trailer Park -- Rock the Kasbah

I miss seeing movies based on the “A Film by Barry Levinson.” Let’s hope the best stuff’s not in the trailer.

Bruce Willis is out of Sylvester’s Stallone’s action hero reunion movie Expendables 3 (replaced by Harrison Ford) apparently over money. And for Stalone, if thise piece from Cinema Blend is to be believed… it seems he doesn’t care if Willis dies hard — so long as he dies — in a manner of speaking.

From the Trailer Park: Red 2

Looks as deliciously crash-bam-boomtastic as the first. Even better: Anthony Hopkins and Neal McDonough in the cast, and don’t need to avoid because of Morgan Freeman. Dig.

From the Trailer Park — A Good Day to Die Hard (Teaser)

John McClane on the international stage… against Russians. It looks like it could be Try (Too) Hard, but they’ve built up enough good will since the original to get a benefit of the doubt.

From the Trailer Park — Looper

Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels. I’m not sure if I can get past Levitt’s makeup, but the premise is cool.

Just-As-Classic Pick o’ the Day — February 7

Sorry for the late addition. Apparently a little slow on the up-keep today, but still with enough of a heads-up for tomorrow …

Sin City (2005) Lawmen, prostitutes, a hulking thug and other sordid characters run amok in a crime-ridden metropolis. Directors: Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller and a guest sequence by Quentin Tarantino. Cast: […]

Tick-tock, tick-tock …

Not even Schwarzenegger’s face can wreck this …

Turn It Up Tuesday -- Testosterony ... the real San Francisco treat

It’s The Expendables week at Chez Porvaznik (yes, milady is almost as psyched to see it as I), and to get in the right frame of mind, alternating between Stallone and non-Sly 80s/early 90s action flicks. Fun walk down memory lane, too, often forgetting how cheese-tastically great the no-apologies dialogue was, notably this (edited […]
