Floyd | Tuesday, 5th of February 2013 at 08:35:09 AM Chris Christie’s moment is over. I feel dirty for even considering him as presidential for a fleeting moment.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie poked fun at his weight on the “Late Show With David Letterman” on Monday, consuming a doughnut during his first appearance on the late-night show.
A few seconds after sitting down with [...]

Floyd | Tuesday, 31st of January 2012 at 05:48:12 AM Chris Christie is at it again… a NJ lawmaker compared Christie to George Wallace — segregationist governor — for saying that gay marriage should be put up for referendum as opposed to legislated from Trenton. Christie, answers that charge here… in classic Christie fashion.

Floyd | Tuesday, 4th of October 2011 at 10:40:18 AM What about “No” don’t we understand?

For some reason Chris Christie’s song and dance routine hasn’t bothered me nearly as much as Sarah Palin’s. We don’t need him now anyway, but maybe in 8 years if he learns to respect gun rights.

Carefully according to The Wall Street Journal’s Paul Gigot.
I’m not as enthused as I would have been before learning his position on guns (controlling), but he’s still better than Obama (not a high standard I realize). It still seems too late to feasible in any case.

Floyd | Sunday, 21st of August 2011 at 08:21:38 AM George Will has a good piece from Friday’s The Washington Post on why New Jersey Governor Chris Christie won’t run for President in 2012. Here’s a taste go read the whole thing:
Christie was one of the first rocks on which Barack Obama’s overrated political potency crashed. In 2009, Obama campaigned for Gov. Jon Corzine [...]

Floyd | Tuesday, 23rd of November 2010 at 09:17:30 AM Here’s a profile of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie from The New York Times Magazine:
But Christie was holding the town hall to do more than just promote his agenda; he was also trying to gin up some Internet content. While his fellow governors tend to use their official YouTube channels to show ribbon-cuttings [...]

The State of New Jersey has new salary caps that go into effect next year. I guess a certain someone didn’t like it and well… the Governor has a few words.

Floyd | Tuesday, 9th of November 2010 at 02:01:44 PM And so here begins the attempted death by a 1,000 cuts of one Chris Christie. From The Washington Post‘s “Federal Eye” blog:
Tough-talking, budget-busting New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) has a new nickname: “Attorney C.”
The fiscally conservative governor and former U.S. attorney faced accusations during his 2009 campaign that he often [...]

Floyd | Friday, 24th of September 2010 at 06:52:47 PM I don’t usually recommend watching Oprah, but she’s had two damn good shows on yesterday and today on education with the man, Geoffrey Canada behind this doc. Yesterday she had on Michelle Rhee and Bill Gates. Today she had on Chris Christie, the Mayor of Newark, and the founder of Facebook. Good stuff and [...]

Floyd | Thursday, 23rd of September 2010 at 09:59:35 AM I like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie — a LOT. If he keeps doing stuff like this it might elevate to inappropriate man crush. Yes.. I know that opens up jokes. I don’t care — so long as abortion clinics are being shut down.
After the New Jersey state Senate defeated an attempt to override [...]

Mike | Wednesday, 4th of August 2010 at 09:43:23 AM Just wanted to quickly point your attention to three excellent pieces over at National Review Online.
At the Corner, Andy McCarthy details the changing role of the federal government on the issue of immigration, which he points out is distinct from naturalization.
…in 1899 the Supreme Court, in the so-called Chinese Exclusion Case (Chae Chan [...]

Floyd | Tuesday, 4th of May 2010 at 10:15:15 AM New Jersey Governor Chris Christie does it again. From The New York Times:
Once again showing that he means to shake up Trenton, Gov. Christopher J. Christie declined on Monday to reappoint a sitting justice to the New Jersey Supreme Court, instead appointing someone who he said would show the restraint that was [...]
