Share on [...] From the “all-star” album Ozzmosis, which had Michael Beinhorn producing and the fingerprints of Geezer Butler, Lemmy Kilmister, Steve Vai, Mike Inez, Zakk Wylde, Randy Castillo and Yes’ Rick Wakeman. Over and over again … No pre-concert spoof below the fold today. Instead, someone much-beloved (though sometimes derided constructively criticized) ’round these parts.
At the February show milady and I caught, Ozzy made a point to recognize the many great guitarists with whom he’s worked through the years — Tony Iommi, Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde and currently Gus G. Inexplicably left off that list, especially since he replaced Rhoads in the studio (Night Ranger’s Brad Gillis briefly joined [...] With alerts for loud volume and strong language (notably the pre-concert clips below the fold), this week features the Prince of Darkness himself, John Michael “OZZY” Osbourne. Already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Black Sabbath, which took far too long for the Hall to recognize, if Eric Clapton can justifiably be [...] Two 5+ hour road-trips and some Christmas/New Year’s vacation-time finally afforded me the chance to fully digest the plethora of albums which caught my ear this year. In short, t’was a glorious 2010. There’s Something about a Twang … Johnny Cash/American VI – Ain’t No Grave: Presumably the last of Cash’s original recordings, a fitting [...] Phrased more fittingly, thank God she continues to keep me. As a small way of thanking her, got us tickets to the 8-14 Ozz Fest show for the birthday she celebrated this past weekend. She’s never seen the Crue and who am I to stand in the way of that momentous occasion? Throw in Ozzy [...] Take your pick for a fave, folks, from Billboard’s list of musician mugshots. I’m still stunned Ol’ Blue Eyes was brought in on a charge of adultery and going with Ozzy in a St. Louis Blues jersey, George Clinton running a close second.
